Is Knaupe the Frontrunner In Place Three?
Its starting to appear that way. With big time endorsements from the Police and EMS Workers and the Austin Central Labor Council, it appears Gregg Knaupe has assumed the position of front runner in the race to replace Jackie Goodman in Austin City Council Place Three. Margot Clarke had been the presumed front runner for months, but Knauppe's endorsements, coupled with an effective campaign, show that he may just win the seat. But it won't be without a runoff. I don't know who will win this, but I am willing to bet that Knaupe will make it to the runoff. Any takers?

I don't know about a front runner in this race. But, the real question right now is who will make the runoff. So far, it has looked as if it would be Clarke and one of either Knaupe, Kim, or Dealy. Now that Knaupe is aggressively campaigning and receiving endorsements, I would say that it is turning into a race between him and Clarke. I would still give Clarke the edge, though.
